won a dance contest

Just want to share some great news everyone..
During the week I compteted in a contest against 10 other girls and I came in 2nd place. It was tough competition! I won $300 :D

It was a hip hop dance competition.

The money is coming in and I am working hard, and I enter contests on the side as well.

I take every opportunity that comes to make money. My goal is to be wealthy and buy a house & travel.

In the past is was a bit difficult for me to manage money well. Now it is different and I am bugeting my money so well. I am saving for my vacations and a car.

A Disorder

I enjoy learning about news things.
I learned about a disorder I have not heard of before. I know about many disorders and illnesses that people have and suffer with.

This disorder I recently learned about is called
"Factitious Disorder"

The exact cause of factitious disorders is not known, but researchers are looking at the role of biological and psychological factors in the development of these disorders. Some theories suggest that a history of abuse or neglect as a child, or a history of frequent illnesses that required hospitalization might be factors in the development of the disorder.

The people who have this disorder feel unworthy of love so they make up stuff to get sympathy. Like their own illness. The attention feels so good they can't stop lying. People with factitious disorders deliberately create or exaggerate symptoms of an illness in several ways. They may lie about or fake symptoms, hurt themselves to bring on symptoms, or alter tests (such as contaminating a urine sample) to make it look like they or the person in their care are sick.

Just got back from meeting with the co-producer of an urban DVD magazine. It is a DVD with magazine style content focused on Hip Hop & other urban genres.
I got an email a few months ago about doing a photo shoot, so we have kept in touch since then.
The shoot will take place this week.
My pics will be in a section called The Candy Shop. As a Candy Shop Girl I will be a featured model which poses for photos & a video profile.
We discussed the outfits I will bring,etc. There will be a stylist there at the shoot.
Models are more ethnic, not like FHM,etc where the models are mostly "All American" and busty like Pamela Anderson.
I am proud to be mixed and able to pass as many nationalities. Great advantage in the modeling industry.

I received my gift from New Zealand. It is a beautiful flower necklace (pearl color and made of stone or shell)which was hand made. It looks so nice on me. I want to post a pic of the necklace because if you didn’t see it, you wouldn’t know how pretty it is.

I will be doing a few contests during the week after work.
Prizes are great and can win tons of money! Even if I place 3rd, that would be awsome.
Keep my fingers crossed and hope to win this week.

Going to go back to my regular job soon. In the meantiome, I have other things to do. A few modeling shoots as well to pay the bills.

He really is in love with me. he said he bought an engagement ring. he said he knows it is love! I have never gone steady with him, but that does not stop him from loving me.
Not every man is a player I realize and there are men who do not use women for years. There are guys who don't lead women on and promise it will happen soon, but knows he wants to play the field. Womanizers! Their male role model did not set a good example to them. :(
No, I am not engaged...not yet at least. I did feel absoltely special. I do know there will be good things to come and I see it. I have been a good girl,hehe.
Karma goes a long way, and everything great is happening all at once.

This email is very recent. I wish people would know what they want before they do stuff like this.
Now, when a guy contacts his ex of 7 years, and writes stuff like this..does it prove he is a good guy? you answer this question.

If you can't be a truthful honest mature man, how can you fullfill another girl and all her wants and needs. At first yes, he may, but things change later on.
These type of men do not know what they are getting themselves into if they made mistakes in the past and have not learned from them.
It won't disappear with a new person in their life. Deep down they have issues and there will be obstacles. That is when things get tough.

I never received the ring, only promises, and head games. Confusion I may add. I am a strong 24 year old. Thank goodness!

Now the man that proposed(and does not promise nor need to be fullfilled by many women) is just the man who is doing it right. Yes, because he really means it when he cares.
Lust is not love. Most time lust does not last. The emotion is not as strong as true love. Lust is lust. Nothing more,nothing less. Only players do not realize this.
Though, what goes around comes around. He will be happy playing these games now and being a player, but karma goes a long way! It's fun now but there is a time where you got to grow up and realize people find each others deceiving side. The immature player won't like it when the day comes when the girl finds out his "bad" side. She will leave him for someone who appreciates her.

Now I prefer the honest men who does not lead girls on, over men who can't make up their mind and can't think with their brain!

The past few months for me have been very exciting. I am looking forward to 2007 because there are many wonderful things that I will make happen.
I have experienced many things, and have grown as a person. I am happy with myself and what I have accomplished to make me an independent woman. I feel as if I am in my 20's going on 30, and not in my 20's going on 17. I would not wish to be younger! Life is great :)

I am not censored about what I think,write or the way I feel. I love expressing myself without feeling like an idiot. No one is perfect, and everyone expresses their emotions in different ways. I prefer to do it in person. That is how I share my deepest emotions. Same goes for my thoughts and views. Not over the stupid net!what am I? a robot? a computer nerd? No, I am human. I like face to face conversations.

I think I have never looked better in my life. Many people who know me say I glow! I glow because of the way I feel inside.
I have not felt a negative emotion in a long time. I mean like crying my eyes out or shaking because I feel nervous by something bad happening to me.
When I had a rough time before, I could have turned to drugs and went deep into a hole, but did the opposite.

Some people try to find a way out of there misery by drinking,partying,drugs(any kind that is illigal!),or using someone to fill the gap in their heart and faking their emotions to that person. Sometimes for years.
The first person who comes into their life because of lust, they feel they are soulmates. Sorry to disappoint you, it does not work that way. You have alot to learn!
I have not had a need to do any of that. I do not need anyone to make me feel beautiful, because I already do feel that way, and it starts from the inside.

I found out myself that the MATURE people out there do not have time for games. All my friends are 30 or over, and I have not experienced one problem with them. Some people do never mature with age, I admit!
The devil always finds time for idle hands, and I know who they are.
They are usually the ones who do not have a life. Face it, they always have to gratify their needs and never happy with another persons happiness.
It shows me what type of mentality they have. Sometimes they come from dysfunctional families who negleted to give them love. :(
Then those people who need to feel cared for open their arms to anyone, and will take anyone. They lower their standards. Of course, they cannot see it!

I know that there will be people jelous of me. It's very sad, but you can't change the world! People can be so cruel and try to tear you down by making you feel as if you were never important.

The insults,jelousy,and mind games only made me a strong woman. If you are not happy to read this, why are you reading my journal? doesn't that tell you something about yourself?

If you want to tear me down some more...then you have major problems!

I am content with my life, my family, friends and loved ones. Thank you!

I am done my Christmas shopping! Horray!!

I bought Mr.Soprano,lol,a decent gift. I buy things for people that they NEED and would like as well. It is always a good thing to get people gifts they with use like everyday, or something sentimental.
Plus, I am going to bake those delicious blueberry bran muffins! yum yum

I bought a new Cell. It has all the features. Just what I wanted.

Tommorow I am going out for lunch with my sister and my grandma, and my cutsie nephew. :D

I have been quite the busy lady! I am off work for Christmas holidays now until January.
Where is the snow? Not complaining though, I love this weather. The warmer the better I see it.

The last day we had Christmas movies for the children and snacks for them to eat.

Got most of my shopping done already, because I started early this year. Basically, I just have one gift to get still. Not too bad :)
I am especially looking forward to opening my gift from New Zealand!

I recently did a promotional modeling job. It was at a party and the theme this year was cowboys! Yee Ha!
There was a live comedy show,good old Texas style food,Deal or No Deal game and a contest last. Nothing but fun!

There were many funny times and people at these events. I mean FUNNY!
My sister told me I should write a book about these experiences.
I have experienced things and met interesting people in my lifetime, before the age of 25.
It would be a good read, especially when I am older.

Well 2007 is coming up real soon! I have many goals and dreams. I am going to go for them no matter what.
I have a zest for life!

On Tuesday, I went to watch my first Leafs game! It was alot of fun, and would go back again to watch them. They played against the Thrashers. The Leafs lost.The score was 2-4.

A few weeks ago, some friends and I were invited to Niagara Falls by Andrew Stronach (Belinda's brother). We had a fun night of clubbing at a new club that opened up over there. After that, Andy and I went to the casino where he played a few games. I did not gamble though.

Hey! It has been quite awhile since I have updated my LJ page. I have not disappeared into thin air,lol. There was alot of things going on in my life, and of course, I have been really busy!

On weekends, I am usually clubbing or partying, or just going out and having an awsome time! I think it's great, because at the moment,I am living my life to the fullest! I always want to have a smile on my face :D

I am enjoying doing modeling shoots and promotional work. During the week, I teach at an afterschool program. I love it!

Can't forget my family, so I make time for them for sure. I especially like visitng my nephew. He is sooo adorable!!

This week, I will be going to Niagara Falls with a bunch of people. We are going to hang out with the "Stronach's"

Hey Everyone!

I have been pretty busy with College- I am studying Early Childhood Education. Most time I'm in class, and twice a week I am doing my placement at a Preschool.

I am still modeling and doing events. I am not doing it as often as before because I am in school. Once August comes, I may be doing lots of modeling work!

Hey everyone! There has been alot going on in my life, and I have some great news too! I wanted to share the good news with you all before, but I have been pretty busy with everything.
I also didn't have the Internet at home for awhile, and just got it back yesterday.
So what's the great news?? I'm an Aunt! I am so happy :)
My nephew Leo was born on March 5th. He's healthy,and the cutest baby ever!
I thought I would share a few photos with you all. Isn't he ADORABLE!

So you wanna know what the other good news? Well, I did another Bikini Contest last week, and I won 1st PLACE!

Last night was a blast and I had so much fun being a Coors Light Ice Bunny and partying it up at the Coors Light Peak Party!
Come meet the Coors Light Ice Bunny Team and experience a Rocky Mountain playground done the Coors Light way.

I'm have been pretty lucky when it comes to contests this year.
I won a pair of movie tickets for 2, and I also won the Xbox game "Prince of Persia" No bad at all!

Yesterday I competed in my second bikini competition ever, and I am a 3rd PLACE WINNER!

This weekend was great!
I will be doing a modeling shoot this week for Ice Gear clothing. It is a fitness clothing line.
I am also runnig for Diva of the Month for a Toronto Online magazine. So far I am 1st place, so I hope I win!
Last week I went to a cool club El Convento Rico. The Drag Queen show was the best! I have never seen anything like that.
If you have never seen a drag queen show before, you gotta go to El Convento Rico and see it!

Today I bought lots of copies of the Toronto Star. I am on the front page of the Shopping Section! I thought it would be a small photo, but it wasn't. The photo takes up most of the page and I am really happy about that :)
